Your Benefits

We make a substantial investment in each of our team members because we know that they are the backbone of Corewell Health.

We invest in team members through a comprehensive package that represents much more than just competitive pay and benefits. Through our competitive benefits program, we strive to demonstrate our commitment to you.

If a union represented you, Corewell Health would be required to bargain with your union and each of your benefits would be subject to negotiation with your union. Unions often make many different campaign promises to employees, but what they often don't say is that there are no guarantees in the collective bargaining process.

You could end up with the same, more, or less than you already have under the comprehensive pay and benefit packages we provide to team members – without any requirement that you pay union dues or fees.

The truth is that no one knows what will happen when parties sit down at the bargaining table.

Whether you are represented by a union or not, we will strive to provide a competitive pay and benefits package to you.

That is the nature of “collective” bargaining where your individual rights to negotiate are handed over and controlled by an outside organization.

Your Corewell Health Benefits Have You Covered

The benefits you have now at Corewell Health exceed the market in many categories. We are proud to be able to provide you with all of these benefits:

Whether you are represented by a union or not, we will strive to provide a competitive pay and benefits package to you. In many cases, our union and non-union team members have the same wages and benefits. But unlike our union team members, our nonunion team members have no expectation or requirement to pay union dues and fees for those wages and benefits. And in some cases, a union may decide to trade off benefits that you currently enjoy so that the Union can get something that is important to it. That is the nature of “collective” bargaining where your individual rights to negotiate are handed over and controlled by an outside organization.

If you vote at a location other than your designated voting location, your ballot will be challenged. This does not mean that your vote won’t count – it just means that your ballot will be placed in a special envelope before being put into the ballot box. After the polls close, but before the votes are counted, the NLRB will confirm that you were an eligible voter and that you did not vote multiple times.

If you voted at only one polling location, even if it was not your assigned polling location, your ballot will be opened and counted. It will be mixed together with the other ballots so that your vote will still be completely secret.
